Dear Sewing Machine....

"Dear Sewing Machine,
I know I bought you four years ago and have not used you more than once but it is time! Get ready! :)
~Tiffany"

I have always wanted to know how to sew. Along with knitting, sewing has always been on my list.
My mom was great at it. She was great at everything she tried. I took for granted so many things that I could have had her teach me and I regret it with my whole heart. But what I did learn from her is that taking classes is fun. It is inspiring, it is uplifting, it is a great place to meet people and to learn.
Last week I went to my first of 8 sewing classes at a Junior High, I am so excited to learn!! We are off this week, and wont actually be sewing for a few more weeks but once I chose a project and start it I will share!

  1. I have a sewing machine that sits sadly upstairs just longing to be used as well! It makes me nervous though, it is about 50 years old and has a knee pedal instead of a foot pedal...yikes! Maybe someday! I will stick with knitting for now!

  4. YAY sewing classes! My mom got me a sewing machine for my birthday and I am really hoping to get my "office/craft room" organized so I can start making some fun things. I'd love to one day have all my holiday gifts be homemade. :) Your class sounds like tons of fun though and I'm glad you're enjoying it. It sounds like a good idea and those classes aren't usually too expensive either. Good times! HUGS!!!

  5. I have a sewing machine that I got from my husband in Christmas of 2002 or 2003? and every year close to Christmas he used to joke that he was going to either give it to me as a gift again or sell it in a garage sale until finally last year I started using it :) Have a great time learning!
